Baby Dreams

Last night as I was lying in bed I could feel baby girl just punching around. So I lifted up my shirt and Shawn and I could actually SEE my belly move every time she would kick. I cannot even say how happy it made me to see that. And this morning I can feel her moving tons!!

Eeeeeee makes me so excited.

To top that off, pregnancy gives you these really really weird dreams. Last night I had a dream that I went into labor a month early (which, btw, was a total breeze and didn't hurt at all) ;) We didn't have ANYTHING set up and had no furniture for her. But she was so cute and I loved her so much. I woke up this morning and I just CANNOT wait to see this little girl.

Goodness Gracious :) How great is our God? That we get to experience the development of our children like this. <3

Homeowners

It's official.

We're HOMEOWNERS!!!!!!!!

The house is a little more space than what we were originally looking for which was 4 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths, but the price was too good to pass up. So we have 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Hey....room to grow! Right?!

We couldn't be more excited and the process has gone by so quickly and easily. It really is a buyer's market in Texas right now!

We closed last Thursday and got everything moved in this weekend.

Our fridge and washer/dryer were delivered yesterday so I'm ready to start being all domesticated. I used my crock pot for the first time last night and cooked a Butt Roast (ahahahahaha...immature) over night for 8 hours. This morning I shredded the meat and when I get home from work tonight I'll finish up the recipe to make pulled pork tacos...yum!!! First home cooked meal ;)

Our next task...putting together Gianna's room. We picked out a paint color and Shawn's mom is going to paint it in the next couple of weeks.

Current 22 weeks and 3 days prego...I think I felt her first punches/kicks last night. <3 little babyyyyyy

What a great year this has been...

18 Week Bumpdate

So, I've followed a lot of blogs in the past that do these fun little "bumpdate"'s and I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and start. I promise to (try and) post pictures after this first one!

Due Date: February 17th, 2013

Weight Gain: Ugh...I don't even want to think about this but so far 13 lbs.

Symptoms: Aside from the occasionally morning sickness (now down to about once a week or 2 weeks), nothing! I have yet to feel little baby moving around.

Cravings: No real cravings...at least nothing different than what I ate before...just lots of carbs which usually tend to make my stomach feel better (And fatter).

Aversions: Nothing. :)

Sleep: Pretty good, I bought a snoogle but my puppy and Shawn seem to use it much more than I do.

I am loving: The excitement of everything right now. Buying a house has been so much easier than expected and just the thought of having our family in there makes me so happy.

I miss: My flat stomach...the ability (and the ambition) to go on a diet and lose this weight I've gained.

I am looking forward to: So much!! Moving into our house. Getting our Anatomy Scan on October 2nd. Seeing what this little girl is going to look like.

I'm spazzing about: Not having anything ready for the baby. There are so many things to know and to do it makes it feel overwhelming.

Best thing about this week: Getting our loan paperwork completed!

Milestones: Our little girl is growing growing growing!!

Movement: None  yet :(

It's a...: Girly Girl!

Exercise: Not much lately. I'm an exercise failure!! I keep telling myself every day to work out and exercise but...I always put it off till tomorrow.

Diet: I'm trying to eat tons of fruit and veggies...but the occasional french fry/pizza/kolache are thrown in there too...

Other goals: Take it day by day and don't get stressed!

Here we are...

Nearly 3 months after my last blog post and already so much has changed! We have since found a house and are just waiting for all the loan stuff to get worked out, hopefully we'll close in early October. I can't wait to share pictures with everyone. This house is SO wonderful!! A lot bigger than we originally planned on getting but, I just look at it as room to grow our little family.....

YEP...

We're having a baby. A little GIRL!! Ahhh, I still can't believe it. Gianna Allison Bahardoust will be joining us  February 17th, 2013. I cannot wait!!

Currently I'm 18 weeks and 3 days...exciting!!

Changes

Well we finally moved out of the house and in with my sweet dad (just for the time being).

Nikki is loving being around the little chihuahuas ;)

Speaking of the little devil, how pitiful is she now?! She just got fixed today, bless her heart! She's pretty mopey lately.

Things are crazy all of a sudden (I'll share more details in a few more weeks). But we're slowly trying to adjust to a move and a poor little pup.

I say this all the time but I really have a feeling my blogging is going to get more consistent. I definitely want to remember how life is now, just in case things get a little crazy around here.

Home update: we have found a TON of amazing owner/finance opportunities in north Houston! So...this might just be a perfect way to avoid the whole "lack of credit" monster.

Only time will tell...

Life Lately

I always thought I was so lucky to have not had to have a credit card for anything and to not have had any loans or had to pay any bills in my name (and really I am!!) but gosh...having had none of that sure makes it hard for banks to look at you for a loan!!

We've been looking at houses so that we can buy buy buy!!! But unfortunately my lack of credit history is less than appealing for any banks so I'm Having to take a step back and wait at least 3 more months. (insert super unhappy Kristen)

Right now I have one credit card (since November, my mom had to consign on it) and I need two more sources of credit. But I keep getting denied for not having a long enough credit history...catch 22. Ironic and annoying.


On the brighter side...waiting 3 months will give us more money. Moving back in with parents will help us to save save save! And give us more time to find what we want. I'm just so anxious!

So my lease is over in June and I'll be moving back home (whether to my dad's or Shawn's mom's house is still up for discussion). But it'll be nice to save some extra money.

Hopefully I'll get the credit situation handled (more credit!!) and I'll be posting about my new HOUSE sometime soon ;)

Baby Nikki

On February 19th we adopted our little babbyyyyyyyy Nikki!!!! She's so stinkin' cute. I posted some pictures of what she looks like now 3 posts ago...so here's what she looked like when we first got her! So Small!!!

So ignore my hideous face, but this our first picture EVER! This is us the day we got her at the shelter. So small and cuuuute!!!

She was so small her collar was almost as big as she was!
